2nd. Chengdu One-Day Tour Option 1
Chengdu Panda Base, Wenshu Monastery, Kuanzhai Alley.
As the hometown of Giant Panda, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding should not be missed when we come to Chengdu! In the morning our private tour guide and driver will be greeting at the hotel, and then we are going to see the lovely creatures. Located in northern suburb of Chengdu, the Panda Base takes us about 50 minutes to get there from downtown area. In this park-like base, we are sure to see many pandas at one time that we cannot realize in other places all over the world. Wave goodbye to the pandas, we will transfer back to Wenshu Monastery, the famous Buddhism Temple in west Sichuan. Walking in the yard, we may feel an inner peace from heart. This monastery is also a good example of Western Sichuan gardening which is concise with primitive simplicity. Later we will shift our sight to Kuanzhai Alley, the so-called Narrow and Wide Alley that show what old Chengdu was like. It is a preserved area with refurbishment where we can see typical grey bricks used to construct buildings in ancient Chengdu. There are many handicraftsman setting stalls along the alley, including ear cleaning, sugar art and long-stemmed tobacco pipe folk. We may move slowly to get an insight of Chengdu’s leisure from long time ago. End the tour in the late afternoon, generate the great memory and then be sent back to hotel.

Some of them are practicing sword, some are playing Tai Chi. Chengdu’s leisure life and slow pace is well know in China that just a walking in the park we can easily find out. If we like we can choose to drink some tea in the tea house inside People’s Park. Shibanxi Steam Train – a journey to recollet the past times…
In the early morning we will be picked up to transfer from Chengdu to Qianwei County, Leshan City. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful rural landscape. After about four-hour driving we shall arrive in Shixi, a small town of Qianwei County. Have lunch in local restaurant, and then we will start our brilliant journey on this old transportation vehicle. The steam train’s engine is roaring when it is running on the track, bringing us back to the old days. This black iron long dragon blows out grey smoke and ash, spits out white mist, and whistles gently while shaking its body over the fields, climbing up the hills, passing through the tunnel as well as farmhouse. In the green mountains, Shibanxi steam train cheerfully runs, showing us the elegant appearance of the original primitive. Outside the window, the reservoir, fruit trees, chickens and ducks are so close like we can touch them by hand. Even if the train is simple, but nothing else than its simple is humbleness make it filled with the ecological breath. When we returning to Shixi Station, we will be sent back to Chengdu, end this fantastic journey with sweet memory.

Day 2. Emeishan Golden Summit, Wannian Monastery
Depart the hotel in the morning for today’s sightseeing. We shall change to local tour bus to get to the cableway station. During our journey on the cable car which will take us to the mountain top, we are over lush vegetation along the mountain area, the air is so fresh that almost blow our minds! Besides, the beautiful view nearly touches on every points of Mt.Emeishan. Get off the cable car and walk for about 30 minutes to the Golden Summit. We will have the chance to visit Shesheng Bluff, Bronze Palace, Huazang Temple and the most attractive, Golden Summit’s cloud sea. If we are lucky enough, we can catch the sight of Buddhism Glory in sunny days. After lunch we would take the sightseeing bus down to the middle of the mountain. By the cable car directly to where the Wannian Monastery locates at, we are sure to be surprised by the wonderful skill used to build this ancient temple. Walk down through the one-sky-line rock, monkey region and Qingyin Pavilion, we are going to arrive at the foot of mountain after one and a half hour. Get on our private car to go back Chengdu.
